Jean Claude Baumgarten has spent the last 11 years of his life as the leader of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). When he stepped down to take on the less-demanding role as the organizationโs vice chairman last year, many wondered what he was going to be doing next. During my last interview with him ( https://www.eturbonews.com/21368/baumgarten-reflects-11-years-wttc ), he reflected on his time with WTTC and hinted that the travel and tourism industry will be seeing more of him, albeit less prominently.
Last month at the yearly WTTC Global Travel & Tourism Summit, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Mr. Baumgarten revealed what his next undertaking would be. Due to the nature of the interview, conducted on May 18, 2011, I have decided that the best treatment for the interview is to present it in audio/visual format. In the below presentation, a more relaxed Jean Claude Baumgarten opens up about his new role in travel and tourism.
