UAE President visits Seychelles

The President of United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed At Nahyan, left Abu Dhabi on a visit to Seychelles on Wednesday, June 1. He was seen off by Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President’s Representative; Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Ali Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region; and other Shaikhs

Some reports indicate the UAE President is in Seychelles for a private visit, however, according to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the President is being accompanied by a delegation to participate in the Seychelles Economic Forum being held on Monday, June 6 in Seychellesโ€™ capital of Victoria. BNA reported that the presidentโ€™s arrival comes in response to an invitation the premier received from Seychelles President James Michel to take part in the forum to be organized in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
