The contingent of famous world-class skippers descended on Seychelles again this year for the island’s 2011 Seychelles Regatta. The list of international skippers is endless as has been the case for all the three previous Seychelles Regattas, but this year the very famous Loic Peyron also made his presence noted as he skippered the boat registered under the name of Maia, the ultimate in up-market resorts on the Seychelles main island of Mahe.
Loic Peyron joined other famous sailing names as Michel Desjoyeaux, Jeremie Beyou, Francois Gabart, Samantha Davies, Armel Le Cleac’h, and Romain Attanasio in this year’s Seychelles Regatta where Jeremie Bayou in his Hyundai Boat took the First Position and the Winners’ Cup.
Seychelles offers to the top world skippers, a Regatta in some of the most stunning settings as the race moves around the tropical islands for a week of sailing. Loic Peyron teamed up with Frederic Vidal, the General Manager of the renowned Maia Resort, to contest this year’s Seychelles Regatta, and they had organized the exclusive “Kir Royal” as their support ship as they sailed the clear blue seas of the Seychelles islands.
