Seychelles London office relocating

The Seychelles Tourist Office in London will be relocating to Regent Street. This has been planned by Marsha Parcou, the new manager appointed to oversee the island’s UK tourism office.

Marsha Parcou moved to London from South Africa where she was responsible for the Seychelles Office in Pretoria. UK remains a main market for Seychelles, and the recent media hype around the honeymoon of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has brought unprecedented visibility for the islands in the UK and around the world.

Seychelles has a long history of friendly ties with the UK. The islands were a British Colony until 1976 when they were granted their independence, but they remain active members of the Commonwealth Organization. The islands welcomed their first landing of a BOAC VC 10 plane on July 4, 1971. This marked the launch of the Seychelles into the world of tourism destinations. This historical occasion was further consolidated when Her Majesty the Queen personally opened the Seychelles International Airport in 1972.

Seychelles has for years been the dream holiday destination for honeymooners and the destination for weddings in paradise.

Bernadette Willemin, the Seychelles Tourism Director for Europe, was personally in London to welcome Marsha Parcou and together plan the new office in central London.
