World Health Organization (WTO) Director launches book titled Healthy Secrets

Dr.

Dr. Dodoo is the author of Healthy Secrets and the Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Advocacy and Training in Pharmacovigilance and the Head of Global Outreach for the WHO Program for International Drug Monitoring, the Uppsala Monitoring Centre of Uppsala, Sweden. He is also a member of the WHO Advisory Committee on the Safety of Medicinal Products.

World Health Organization Director of the Collaborating Centre for Advocacy and Training in Pharmacovigilance and Head of Global Outreach for WHO Program for International Drug Monitoring has published a timely and trendy support book for the layman and business traveler. The author, Dr. Alex Dodoo, is also a Pharmacist, and he is the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSG).

The book titled, โ€œHealthy Secrets: A Laypersonโ€™s Guide to Health Issues,โ€ which has already been launched in Geneva, Switzerland, is a compilation of the authorโ€™s newspaper writings published inย The Weekly Spectator between 2005 and 2007.

The 326-page book contains 50 articles on health issues divided into 6 sections with interesting headings such as โ€œSir I have got gas,โ€ โ€œOf common scents and dodgy smells,โ€ โ€œMedicine for you @ 50,โ€ โ€œWhat are the effects of taking fake drugs?โ€ and โ€œDo health professionals make mistakes?โ€ among others.
