EIBTM Technology Watch acts as a major opportunity for companies to demonstrate new and innovative technology solutions that make a real difference to the meeting and event planner’s business.

EIBTM 2011 ( www.eibtm.com ) is once again seeking to find truly innovative technological breakthroughs for the meetings and events industry. The EIBTM Technology Watch is the most high-profile and longest-running technology recognition scheme for innovation in the meetings and events industry.

EIBTM Technology Watch is free to enter and the most recognized company for technological innovation, voted by the judges, gets a stand within the Technology Village @EIBTM 2011. The winner also gets to receive publicity through the EIBTM Show Daily, recognition in press releases that are distributed worldwide, the chance to do business with the Hosted Buyer and trade visitor community, and to meet the global industry media that attend the show.

The Technology Village @EIBTM 2011 is one of the fastest growing areas of the show, and over the past 4 years, the number of tech companies exhibiting has increased by 25%.

“We are now into a new decade for the EIBTM Technology Watch having celebrated our 10th anniversary at EIBTM 2010 with a record number of submissions – 52 in total. With the rapid pace of technology, we are sure that 2011 will see an even greater selection of entries. Technology innovation is revolutionizing the business process for events and exhibitions and I am very pleased to participate again in the Technology Watch as it highlights some of the best new ideas,” commented Corbin Ball, Chairman of the EIBTM Technology Watch judging panel.

Michelle Bruno, CMP, CEM, President, Bruno Group Signature Events, joins this year’s panel of judges which also includes: Martin Sirk, CEO, ICCA; Bruce M. MacMillan, President/CEO, MPI; Paul Hussey, Business Development Director, BSI Meetings and Events; Samuel J. Smith, Technology Consultant & Editor, Interactive Meeting Technology Blog; Ruud W. Janssen, Marketing Entrepreneur, ©TNOC.

Entrants are judged by a weighting system of scoring that includes marks for innovation and uniqueness, the impact their product could have on the meetings industry, its value in terms of ROI and pricing, and the stage at which it is completed for use.

“We could not have been more pleased in 2010 to win the very significant EIBTM Technology Watch award. Since exhibiting at EIBTM last year, we have confirmed over 200 large events for the next 18 months, placing us in the number one spot in the market. Mobile solutions can play a very significant role in helping attendees and exhibitors get the most out of their participation to large events. We will not stand still,” commented the 2010 winner Jacques Racine, President & CEO, Sherpa Solutions ( http://www.eibtm.com/sherpasolutions ).

Closing date for entries is September 2, 2011, and judging will take place on October 5 with the most recognized company for its technology product being notified shortly after. Full details of the EIBTM Technology Watch can be found at www.eibtm.com/techwatch .
