Alain St.Ange took the floor after John Thet, the Publisher of Asian Geographic, had officially declared the 2011 ADEX Dive Show Open and after different important personalities had presented their own addresses.

The mid-ocean islands of the Seychelles were this year honored by the ADEX Dive Show, which was just held in Singapore. Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, was listed as a speaker and appeared on the Center Stage Program for the ADEX Dive Show’s Opening Day.

Among the personalities who had been invited to address the ADEX Dive Show’s Opening were the President of East Timor who spoke by webcam, Pierre-Yves Cousteau, Amos Nachom, and Todd Essick, among others.

Seychelles, which had earlier that day been awarded the “Best Overall Travel Experience” Award for Asia & Australasia, said that they were honored to have been recognized as a serious destination and invited to address the show. When taking the floor, Alain St.Ange said that Seychelles was a committed country in the field of conservation, saying: “Over 50% of our land mass is today listed as nature reserves. Our government is a serious custodian of the natural assets our country has been blessed with.

“Seychelles knows that it offers the best in sun, sea, and sand holidays. Our clean and white sandy beaches, our clean and clear turquoise blue seas, and our climate that has given us the name of the islands of perpetual summer are our unique selling points, and we know that we need to be protecting such assets. This is why the Seychelles President and his government have followed a clear policy towards conservation of the Seychelles unique natural habitat.”

The Seychelles is but six-and-half hours from Singapore and four-and-a-half from Dubai. It is a country listed as being a very safe destination for tourists, and no visas are required to enter the Seychelles. These mid-ocean islands offer spectacular diving and big game and fly fishing holidays. They hold undisturbed habitats for a long list of endemic birds and tropical plants.

Most of the best international hotel brands are today established in the Seychelles with upmarket resorts, and they are enjoying business in the Seychelles alongside the Seychellois entrepreneurs who together provide to visitors to the Seychelles a total range of accommodation style and categories.
