‘We want to play an active role in European air traffic consolidation but we don’t want to buy every airline that is for sale,’ he was quoted as saying.

In an interview last week, deputy finance minister Ivan Fuksa included Lufthansa as one of the expected bidders in the Czech air carrier which is likely to be sold by the end of this year or the beginning of the next year.

CSA’s value was reported to be as much as 5 billion crowns.
