JAL Group reduced capacity on a portion of its international routes in April by decreasing flight frequency and switching to the use of smaller aircraft on select routes to secure profitability as travel demand declined following the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake last month.

JAL will continue to adjust capacity according to demand while maintaining its international network. The airline announced today, a reduction in flight frequency on 10 international routes and 1 domestic route (see table below) till the end of May 2011. Smaller-sized aircraft will also be used on routes between Tokyo (Narita) and Guam, Honolulu and Nagoya (Chubu) during this period.

JAL apologizes for any inconvenience caused and seeks the kind understanding and cooperation of customers affected by the changes.
