Duesseldorf, Germany – In its annual independent survey to determine the world’s best airports, London-based consultancy Skytrax found Düsseldorf International Airport the winner out of 240 airports in the category “Airport Staff Service Excellence Europe 2011.”

More than 11.3 million passengers from over 100 countries participated in the survey between June 2010 and March 2011. The survey rated, among other things, the level of airport service quality and staff conduct, and friendliness, and intercommunication and language skills.

For DUS management, the award confirms that the airport’s strategy is on the right track. Says CEO Christoph Bume at the awards ceremony in Copenhagen on March 30, “Customer satisfaction is at the center of our efforts, and in that category, Düsseldorf International was voted first among 240 airports. We’re motivated even more now to continue investing in service at our airport.”
