Southwest Airlines and Visit Florida have forged a promotional partnership to target key markets such as Baltimore, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, Pittsburgh, Dallas and the Boston area.
The joint marketing initiative includes television advertising, online advertising, promotions, and public relations elements and is designed to increase visitation to the Sunshine State this fall. No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
Southwest Airlines is the largest carrier in the state, as well as at Tampa International Airport. At TIA it has 28.8 percent of the market.
Visit Florida is the official marketing organization for the state’s tourism industry.
