Organizers of IMEX America, America’s worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events, have announced the launch of a dedicated online video and TV channel – IMEX America TV ( www.imexamerica.com/tv ). The IMEX America TV channel has been developed with the help of Convention News Television (CNTV), which boasts a strong reputation in the conference and exhibitions sector. The company already works with several IMEX America association and corporate partners to supply high quality, dynamic, news-driven film and video content: .

Online content on the IMEX America TV page currently includes a series of eight interviews with IMEX Chairman, Ray Bloom, on various aspects of the new tradeshow including: its unique model, how IMEX will leverage association partnerships, the scale and quality of its hosted buyer program, plus the advantages of Las Vegas as a tradeshow location. Watch Ray Bloom, Chairman, IMEX, on why IMEX is coming to America: .

The channel also provides 12 video testimonials from meetings industry professionals who have already had many years’ experience of the group’s award-winning IMEX in Frankfurt tradeshow, which has now been running for nine years. Interviews include Bruce MacMillan, CEO of MPI, IMEX America’s strategic partner and premier education provider. Further news updates and interviews will be added throughout the coming year.

VALUE-ADDED MARKETING FOR EXHIBITORS

News services, exhibitors, partners, and other organizations are all able to link to the IMEX America TV channel page to share its video content in order to enhance coverage or marketing before, during, and after the show. Simple “how to share” instructions are provided on the TV page.

IMEX America is set to debut October 11-13 at the Sands Expo at the Venetian/Palazzo Hotel, in Las Vegas, 2011. Once the show is live, CNTV will also be tasked with capturing live coverage from the show floor and broadcasting it online every night. Video news headlines will also be emailed to the IMEX database as a way to inform industry professionals even if they can’t attend the event.

CNTV’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Bill Peeper, said, “We are thrilled to be working with IMEX to extend the life and reach of their show. By producing daily news headlines, we are able to deliver information from the show floor instantly. Our videos will contain breaking news, industry trends, and one-on-one interviews. We will also be delivering key messages from the IMEX America TV sponsors. We hope the international audience will see first-hand how powerful online video has become in the meetings industry.”

Ray Bloom, IMEX Group Chairman, explained: “The ability to deliver our message using video before the show and virtually live-streamed film during the show in Las Vegas provides enormous benefits. First, it will bring the show’s atmosphere and buzz to life. It also gives us a tremendously powerful marketing tool. But, more importantly, it provides an excellent platform for our exhibitors and partners to get their message across. This is just one of a number of additional online services we aim to launch over the coming months – all of them designed to provide added value to our exhibitors, and, of course, buyers.”

Commenting on becoming the first sponsors of the new IMEX America TV channel, Kaaren Hamilton, VP of Global Sales for Carlson Hotels, stated: “This gives us a tremendous opportunity to get ahead of the pack, to benefit from great visibility in the run-up to the show, and, of course, during the week of IMEX America itself. Video is such a dynamic medium, and it will be a great way to express our passion for the industry and our positioning in the marketplace.”
Two remaining sponsorship places remain available to support IMEX America TV.
