A package emitting small amounts of radiation caused Terminal A at Newark, New Jersey’s Liberty International Airport to temporary close down as the Union County Bomb Squad investigated its contents.

The package contained a computer monitor, and the radiation being emitted was determined to be typical for the device, as disclosed by FBI Special Agent Bryan Travers.

“The device is being shipped to the same destination as its owner, who is already in flight,” Travers said. “It appears there is no cause for alarm.”

The all clear was given at New Jersey’s Liberty International Airport a short time later.
