SEATTLE – Alaska Airlines launched four flights a week between San Jose, Calif., and Guadalajara, Mexico, today, and will begin thrice-weekly service between Sacramento, Calif., and Guadalajara tomorrow.

Alaska Airlines introduced service to Mexico in 1988 and flies an average of 1 million passengers annually between the U.S. West Coast and Mexico. Alaska and sister carrier Horizon Air together serve seven Mexico beach destinations โ Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, La Paz, Loreto, Los Cabos, Manzanillo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta โ in addition to Guadalajara and Mexico City.
The new flights will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 141 in the main cabin.
