(eTN) – SAN MATEO, CA – Organizers welcomed over 35 senior level travel professionals plus local media to the first San Francisco Bay area mini trade show in San Mateo, California, this past Monday, November 22. ETurboNews Publisher Thomas Steinmetz and TravelTalkRADIO and BusinessTravelRADIO Executive Producer Sandy Dhuyvetter personally hosted the event on Monday during their first mini trade show.

The San Mateo Marriott was the venue for the 3-hour event where the local media and agents met exotic destinations and learned more about their offerings. โ€œThe Marriott was a wonderful partner for us, as they opened up their doors and put on a great party for the Bay Area agents, with a great meeting location, delicious finger foods, and beverages,” said Sandy Dhuyvetter. “The night was capped off with giveaways including cases of Dr. Melinaโ€™s protein bars, and over a hundred travel books were given away, followed by networking working opportunities between all.โ€

Exhibitors treated guests to personalized presentations and the intimate setting allowed ample time for questions and answers.

Exhibitors included the Maldives Tourism Promotion Board; Seychelles Tourism Board; ANA Crown Plaza Hotel in Osaka, Japan; Travel With Us from India; Super Clubs All Inclusive Resorts; Baden Baden Tourism; Distinguished International Hotels, Inns and Resorts; and Zagreb Tourist Board & Convention Bureau.

“We are looking forward to our second set of mini trade shows in April of 2011 in Southern California,” said Juergen Steinmetz, “We are feeling confident that our readers and audiences are ready for this new approach to do business.โ€
