The Travel Foundation, Royal Caribbean Cruises’ Ocean Fund, and Museum for African Art (NYC), will be presented with the 2010 World Tourism Award in a ceremony at World Travel Market (WTM) in London, Monday, November 8, at the ExCel Center, WTM Conference Set, Platinum Suite 4, Level 3 from 5:00-6:00 pm.

This year’s World Tourism Awards, co-sponsored by Reed Travel Exhibitions, American Express, Corinthia Hotels, and International Herald Tribune, are honoring the three recipients for their dedication to sustainable tourism and the preservation of cultural heritage.

Inaugurated in 1997, The World Tourism Award was established to recognize “the extraordinary initiatives by individuals, companies, organizations, destinations, and attractions for outstanding accomplishments in the travel industry.”

The World Tourism Award is presented in the form of a specially designed Steuben Crystal bridge entitled PARTNERSHIP, which “celebrates the bond of a supportive partnership, which, like a bridge, spans both time and distance.”

All registered WTM delegates and media are invited to attend the ceremony and reception but RSVP is required: [email protected] .
