Meeting Time will open tomorrow: the workshop, to be held over two days (October 22-23) in Pavilion A5 of the Fiera di Rimini exhibition center, will channel the business relating to the meetings, events, and conferences sector at TTG Incontri.

Wholly designed and organized by BTC, the Italian trade show for the meetings,
events, conferences, incentive travel, and business tourism industry, Meeting Time has the format of a specialized and exclusive โ€œlounge,โ€ with elegant stations for sellers supplied by a drinks service, a corner bar, and a dedicated reception desk. Entry to the Meeting Time area is reserved for both registered Italian and international hosted buyers with pre-scheduled appointments, visitors to TTG, and demand-side representatives for the meetings and events sector, who can make appointments at the reception desk with sellers, subject to availability.

โ€œMeeting Time confirms BTCโ€™s commitment to providing the meetings industry with
increasingly diverse tools to approach the market,โ€ said Paolo Audino, chief
executive of Exmedia, the company that organizes BTC. โ€œThe workshop was
created on the specific request of demand-side professionals attending TTG
Incontri, who expressed a need to also meet specialist suppliers of products and services for meetings, events, and conferences. Meeting Time is, therefore, neither an experiment nor an attempt to create an alternative to BTC, as has been suggested, but rather a new service that BTC is proposing to its market in addition to its existing ones.โ€

The success of the initiative is confirmed both by the numbers and types of seller: 39 operators have taken up the invitation to attend Meeting Time, exceeding the objectives of what is intended to be an event of limited size in order to keep quality high – hotel groups; conference hotels; conference centers; historic venues; convention bureaus; destination consortia; DMCs and tour operators; sailing, transport, and support companies are all present. Participation at Meeting Time is in blocks of half a day, and all sellers were free to choose whether to take part over both days, for one day only, or for half a day.

As regards hosted buyers, BTC is capitalizing on its knowledge of the meetings,
events, conferences, and incentive travel market, taking to Meeting Time a
selection of corporate and agency buyers with proven buying power: two
thirds are Italian and a third come from Europeโ€™s major markets.

After Meeting Time, the next dates for the diary are the two MICE Days planned by BTC to bring together the buyers of the two Italian cities with the greatest number of event organizers and sector operators.

They will be held on November 3 in Rome at Roma Eventi Fontana di Trevi
conference center, and on November 4 in Milan at Boscolo Hotel Exedra.
