PATA reports, the European Union (EU) health authorities are not amused by the outbreak of legionella cases. France, Italy, Spain and Turkey are among the European destinations that report a widespread outbreak of the disease, and EU health authorities may resort to a possible black list unless strong measures are scheduled.

The Turkish Ministry has proactively organised meetings with their colleagues and hoteliers, according to a report in TourExpi. The EU Ministry of Health has declared a deadline of end of this year for action to be initiated, failing which these destinations will be considered a serious threat for touristsโ€™ health.
