ORLANDO, Florida – AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., and the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau Inc. (Orlando CVB) — along with performers from the resident company of La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil – today unveiled a new look for one of AirTran Airways’ Boeing 717 aircraft.

In an event at the airline’s hangar in Orlando, the organizations revealed a plane emblazoned with a “Say YES to Orlando” logo on each side. The customized aircraft celebrates AirTran Airways’ partnership with the Orlando/Orange County CVB to promote travel to the city, which is one of the world’s top destinations. The airplane will travel throughout the United States inviting travelers to “Say YES to Orlando.” Newly-adorned AirTran Airways Flight 568 took off from Orlando International Airport for Bloomington, Illinois, at 10:40 am to start spreading the word.

“To honor AirTran Airways’ partnership with the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau, we have placed their ‘Say YES to Orlando’ logo on the side of one of our Boeing 717 aircraft,” said Kevin Healy, senior vice president of marketing and planning for AirTran Airways. “By collaborating with the OOCVB, we hope to encourage more of our passengers around the country to visit Orlando.”

“The ‘Say YES’ message has been embraced by our local community and has strengthened the Orlando brand. I’m excited for this opportunity with AirTran Airways and truly believe that our greatest story is Orlando’s great value and all it has to offer travelers,” said Gary Sain, president and CEO of the Orlando/Orange County CVB.

The Orlando/Orange County CVB has also partnered with its members to create 100 Orlando values for business and leisure travelers planning a visit to Orlando.
