Bahamas appoints new aviation and tourism minister

The prime minister of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Hubert A. Ingraham, has announced the appointment of Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace to minister of Tourism and Aviation effective July 7.

Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace served as director general of tourism in the Ministry of Tourism for 12 years. He has had a long and distinguished career in tourism in both the public and private sector of The Bahamas and in the region.

Most recently Vanderpool-Wallace served as secretary general of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO). He has previously served as chairman of the management committee of the Bahamas Tourism Training Centre, director of both the Central Bank of The Bahamas and the bank.
