Australian Minister interested in Sri Lanka tourism

On an a recent visit to Melbourne Victoria, Nihal Perera Member Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, had the pleasure of meeting Hon Tim Holding Minister for Tourism and Major Events.

The Meeting was arranged by Bill Shannon – Shannon’s Way – Social Marketing Communications, with the assistance of Mr. Max Foster a Leading Sri Lankan Businessman in Victoria.

On an a recent visit to Melbourne Victoria, Nihal Perera Member Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, had the pleasure of meeting Hon Tim Holding Minister for Tourism and Major Events.

The Meeting was arranged by Bill Shannon – Shannon’s Way – Social Marketing Communications, with the assistance of Mr. Max Foster a Leading Sri Lankan Businessman in Victoria.

Bill Shannonโ€™s Marketing organization steered the recent Election Campaign for the Victorious Labour Government.

During the meeting with Hon Tim Holding matters were discussed connected with Sri Lanka Tourism, and the Minister was very supportive of the role played by Sri Lankans to project the image of Sri Lanka in Victoria, especially Cricket, and other successful Sri Lankan Businessman in Victoria.

Tim Holding, was invited to visit Sri Lanka, and he showed great interest in visiting Sri Lanka, some time in the future.

In addition to meeting Tim Holding, Minister, meetings were also held with the Hon Steve Crabb F.F.A. a Former Minister, and Ron Barassi a Sports Legend who visited Sri Lanka last year with Max Foster and met His Excellency the President.

The cordial discussions held with them paved the way to focus Sri Lanka as a Holiday and Business Destination for Australians to visit Sri Lanka.

Nihal Perera plans to continue with the good friendship established, and hopes to enlist the support of the Ministry of Tourism, and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, to project a positive image of Sri Lanka in Australia.
