Lot Polish Airlines extend online check-in facility to UK regional departures

LOT Polish Airlines has, for the first time, made online check-in available to passengers traveling from three UK regional airports.

Effective immediately, passengers using Lot’s code-share connecting flights from Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow to London-Heathrow with Star Alliance partner bmi, are able to check-in online for their entire journey to Poland up to 23 hours prior to departure.

Previously web check-in has been available only to passengers departing direct from Heathrow Terminal 1 on Lot’s three daily flights to Warsaw.

Self check-in using bmi’s dedicated machines at Belfast City, Edinburgh and Glasgow is another new option for those using the code-share services to connect with Lot flights from Heathrow.

“Modern-day business travel is all about convenience,” said Slawomir Noszczak, Lot’s regional director for the UK and Ireland. “The new online and self check-in opportunities will greatly improve the transfer experience at Heathrow for passengers from these key regional airports, freeing up more time to deal with e-mails, make calls or simply to relax.”

Lot is now the only airline flying from London-Heathrow to Warsaw, a route it operates three times a day. This year the carrier celebrates the 50th anniversary of its London-Warsaw route.

From its hub at Warsaw’s Frederic Chopin International Airport, Lot flies to eight cities within Poland, as well as to 60 destinations in Europe, the Middle East and North America.
