A new generation of hospitality industry leaders

The Deputy General Manager of Pullman New Delhi Aerocity, Ajay Sampige, told the 18th Chandiwala Hospitality Ensemble 2019 today that there are many opportunities in the growing hotel and catering industries.

Speaking as the chief guest at the gathering of budding hospitality professionals, the veteran of 20 years for various chains in India and abroad addressed the students. He said that both in business and pleasure segments, the professionals should look for that extra quality to make a mark.

K. Bhandari, Principal of the Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BCIHMCT), said that the ensemble gave an excellent opportunity for industry-academic interaction. He was happy that the event was getting the much-required support from industry players.

The 3-day event has more items on schedule, so that both learning and exchange of views are encouraged.

Competitions are on design and decoration, and entries are being judged by a panel of experts from various stakeholders. Competitions in the culinary field include fun competitions like the Barwizard Bar Challenge and Bakery Competitions. Other entertaining contests include the Hospitality Quiz, Role Play “Manage The Damage Contest,” Floral Decorations, and a Towel Origami Competition.

Over the years, the ensemble has acquired a coveted status and is much looked after by the many hospitality institutes in India and abroad.

This year also marks the return of R. K. Bhandari as Principal after a gap of some 2 years when he had gone to some other institutes but was recalled because of his 12 years of contribution at the Institute.
