The success of Preferred Hotel Group (PHG) stands as a testament to family enterprise at its best – an increasingly rare model in today’s business environment. The group announced today the appointment of Lindsey Ueberroth as president in a planned succession intended to sustain the family-owned company’s legacy of excellence and growth worldwide. The announcement was made by John Ueberroth, chairman and chief executive officer, and father to Lindsey.
Lindsey Ueberroth moves into the position most recently occupied by Gail Ueberroth, who will continue her role as chief marketing officer and assume the title of vice-chair.

“Lindsey’s dedication, experience, and leadership over the past six years helped to shape and strengthen the company’s expanding position in the global hospitality industry,” said John Ueberroth.

Lindsey Ueberroth has been serving as executive vice president responsible for global brand strategy, internal technology, and all aspects of brand performance within Preferred Hotel Group. As president, her expanded responsibilities will include the growth and performance of global and group sales, as well as overall corporate development.

“The highest priority will be working with our dedicated associates around the world to sustain Preferred Hotel Group’s legacy of quality,” said Lindsey Ueberroth. “My initial efforts will be focused on the continued financial success of our hotel partners and global growth, with an emphasis on increasing Preferred Hotel Group’s presence in strategic markets.”

Lindsey brings a strong combination of sales, marketing, and management experience to her position. Over the last six years with Preferred Hotel Group, she has served in many capacities, starting as regional director – Americas West. In 2005, she successfully launched and ran the Preferred Boutique brand as managing director. Most recently in her role as executive vice president, Lindsey was the driving force behind the company’s new global technology systems.

Prior to joining Preferred, Lindsey began her career working with Anderson Consulting as a change management consultant. Lindsey is a graduate of Wake Forest University
