SEYCHELLES – Cooperation between the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) and Eden Island will see the well-known South African cricket personality, Jonty Rhodes, work with Seychelles in its effort to become more visible in India and South Africa.

This added help for the STBโ€™s marketing efforts was discussed when Mr. Rhodes met Alain St. Ange, the director of tourism marketing, in the presence of Peter Smith of Eden Island and his representative in India earlier this week.
This move comes just weeks after Seychellesโ€™ high commissioner in India Dick Esparon, along with Mr. St. Ange and Myrna Michel, the tourism boardโ€™s director for Asia and Australasia, visited India to establish the groundwork for a more intensive campaign in this market.

Mr. Rhodes is well known in India, a country passionate about the game of cricket. He has been contracted by Eden Island to help their Indian-based representative promote the sale of their โ€œSeychelles homesโ€ in India.

Seychelles is only four and a half hoursโ€™ flight from India, which is why the tourism board is working to secure air access that will open up the Indian market to the Indian Ocean islands.
