LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Travel and photography are such an obvious combination that TourCrafters has designed a small 7-day/6-night guided photography tour of Sardinia that starts September 20 in Cagliari. Leading the tour of this scenic, second-largest Mediterranean island will be professional photographer and nature-lover, Tommaso Galli, who will share his expertise for an unforgettable week.

The land-only “Different View of Sardinia” tour costs US$1,458 and includes seven nights in a double room in an apartment in the village of Torcoli, daily breakfast, seven lunches, six dinners, a photo workshop, and transportation on Sardinia.

Tour participants will not only learn how to photograph, print, save, and manage their pictures, but will enjoy cultural experiences, meet real Sardinians, savor local dishes, and shoot beautiful landscapes, wildlife, prehistoric ruins, medieval villages, and the emerald waters for which the island is known.

Along the way participants will be taught to “see” new photo subjects and experiment with rarely-used techniques, and each will be given instruction in a practical and relaxed manner: this includes getting the most out of camera settings and how they apply to each photographic situation.

The personable and English-speaking Galli, whose work has appeared in numerous Italian art exhibitions, magazines and newspapers, has published a picture book, Ladakh: Past and Present, and is currently working on another book in cooperation with the Ghana Tourist Board.

The price given above is per person, double occupancy, does not include transatlantic air fare, and is subject to availability. For more information, visit www.tourcrafters.com . For reservations, call 800-482-5995.
