HONOLULU, HAWAII – Team Vision Virtual (TVV), creators of 3D destination-experience websites, announced the appointment of Paul Onnen as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, Onnen will oversee the ongoing development and international rollout of TVV’s proprietary 3D online platform.

Onnen brings more than 23 years of experience designing, developing, and launching innovative enterprise and web-based products and services for organizations including Google, Expedia, WebMD, Nordstrom.com, and Intel. He has been recognized for his expertise in traditional software development functions, as well as emerging Internet technologies and computer privacy/security issues. Onnen was named CTO of the Year in the Retail Sector by InfoWorld and was also recognized by CTO Magazine as one of the Top 25 Most Influential CTOs in the country.
As CTO at Expedia, Onnen led the effort to design, build, and launch a new version of the Expedia.com platform, the largest such project in company history. At Nordstrom, he directed a full-scale redesign and launch of Nordstrom.com’s e-commerce site and B2B system, resulting in record sales revenues and numerous awards. Onnen has a BA in mathematics and physics, with a concentration in computer science from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and an MS in computer science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has authored 12 patent applications and has been issued six US patents.
