NIGERIA – The board of Nigerian Eagle Airlines, formerly Virgin Nigeria Airways, has announced the appointment of an Ethiopian, Mr. Kinfa Fekado, as the new chief executive of the company following the resignation of the former managing director, Captain Dapo Olumide.
Mr. Fekado, until his appointment on Tuesday, was the chief operating officer of Ethiopian Airlines, and he has over 32 years of experience in the aviation sector.
The company has recently come under new management following its acquisition by a Nigerian business magnate, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim.
