Leela chairman receives lifetime achievement award

Padma Bhushan Capt. C.P. Krishnan Nair, chairman of The Leela Palaces, Hotels, and Resorts has been conferred the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at Hospitality Valuation Services’ (HVS) Hotel Investment Conference – South Asia (HICSA) at a glittering ceremony amidst luminaries and peers from the hospitality sector on April 7.

The HICSA Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the hospitality industry. HICSA honored Capt. C. P. Krishnan Nair for redefining the Indian hospitality landscape by creating new standards of excellence in luxury services. On presenting the award, Stephen Rushmore, president and founder, HVS, said: “Capt. Nair has raised the bar of high-end luxury in India, and his Leelas stand testimony to his passion and commitment. We are very pleased to have him here today to accept this award.”

The recipient of several accolades, the most recent among which is the Padma Bhushan, Capt Nair reflects on his long journey: “It is a great honor to be recognized by my peers in the industry.
