Two Russian tourists hospitalized after drinking unidentified beverage

Two Russian tourists were hospitalized in Tiberias for possible poisoning Tuesday after drinking an unidentified beverage purchased in East Jerusalem.

The Christian pilgrims visited Jerusalem’s Old City on Monday, and were admitted to Poriah Hospital after consuming the beverage after their return to Tiberias that evening.

The Christian pilgrims visited Jerusalem’s Old City on Monday, and were admitted to Poriah Hospital after consuming the beverage after their return to Tiberias that evening.

Both tourists lost consciousness, and the 52-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition, while the 26-year-old arrived in moderate condition.

Jerusalem Police are investigating the incident.
