VARANASI – The CISF personnel stopped a tourist group outside the Babatpur airport terminal building when they found the boarding as well as immigration passes in their hands on Sunday.

According to reports, a group of 70 foreign tourists reached the airport to catch a flight for Bangkok. When they reached the entrance point of terminus, the CISF team deployed there found that the tourists were not only carrying boarding passes but immigration passes as well. They stopped the tourists at the same point and reported the matter to senior officials.

CISF commandant Gyanendra Kumar reached there immediately and sought explanation on how they got immigration certificate without reporting at the counter of the concerned airways to produce their boarding passes. Physical presence of passengers is a must for immigration certificate. Finally, the agent escorting the tourist group made it clear that the fault was committed due to some confusion. Kumar denied that it was a security breach but admitted that such a procedural fault could cause serious administrative problems.

The tourists were allowed to move ahead after the officials became satisfied with the reply of the agent and airways staff.
