Starting on January 27, the Seychelles Tourist Board (STB) and the archipelago’s tourism private sector will sit down to map out their strategy of tourism marketing for the year 2010 and beyond. The STB has already released a schedule of tourism trade fair attendances for this year and other flanking activities, but the marketing conference will permit both public and private sectors to intensely discuss and strategize over the future concepts, of how best to sell the Seychelles to global travel markets.

The drafting of the private sector into the tourist board a year ago showed immediate results, when the downturn of tourism arrivals was not only arrested but reversed, ending the year 2009 almost at level par with the year 2007, before the global financial and economic crisis struck.
