Etihad Airways hosted a formal sit-down lunch at Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove Hotel for some 90 guests to mark the start of their Seychelles operations this week.
Among the guests who joined the Etihad Airways management were the Seychelles Former President, Mr. James Mancham; Minister Jean Paul Adam, the Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affair, the UAE Ambassador accredited to Seychelles; the Secretary of State in the President’s Office & Chairman of the Tourism Board, Barry Faure; the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Alain St.Ange; the Chairman of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority, Captain David Savy; and Gilbert Faure, his CEO; the Chairman of the Seychelles Hospitality & Tourism Association, Louis D’Offay, Hoteliers and the Seychelles Tourism & Travel Trade.
Also present were a group of press and tour operators who had flown to Seychelles on Etihad Airways’ inaugural flight.
Etihad Airways management welcomed everyone and said how happy they were to have added Seychelles to their long list of destinations on their eighth birthday since they launched their operations as an international airline. They thanked everyone who had helped make their start in Seychelles a possibility. The UAE Ambassador to Seychelles also addressed the gathering at Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove Hotel and congratulated Etihad Airways for their successful launch into Seychelles.
With one of the Seychelles top music playing in the background, the lunch enabled the Etihad Airways management to know the Seychelles tourism trade and government officials as they enjoyed the spectacular view over Beau Vallon Beach.
