Benchmark appoints new Director of Food and Beverage for The Ridge Conference Center

Benchmark has named Orlando Ramos director of food and beverage for The Ridge, a Benchmark Conference Center located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Mike Taylor, Benchmark’s general manager at the property, made the announcement.

“I am thrilled to welcome Orlando to The Ridge,” said Mr. Taylor. “He is immensely talented and credentialed as is evident through his previous success in food and beverage operations with celebrity chefs and large hotel brands. Orlando is a welcome addition to our executive leadership team.”

Orlando Ramos comes to The Ridge with more than 15 years of fine dining and hotel operations experience. He was previously in executive operations for The David Burke Organization. Prior to this he was in senior operations for Landmark Hospitality and Bobby Flay Restaurants.

Mr. Ramos began his career at the acclaimed Nobu and Nobu Next Door where he worked under the tutelage of Drew Nieporent and Chef Morimoto as the beverage manager and sommelier. During his time at Nobu, he assisted with the brand’s expansion to Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel and to Miami at The Shore Club Hotel.

Orlando Ramos is a member of The Guild of Master Sommeliers and certified by the Sterling School of Hospitality spirits program. He resides in Clinton, New Jersey, with his wife and three children.
