Harper Palembang has opened its doors in January 2019 in Indonesia, becoming the first Harper hotel to open in Sumatra.

Joining Aston Palembang Hotel & Conference Center and favehotel Palembang, Harper Palembang is gearing up to be the leading MICE destination in the city. The hotel boasts five medium-sized multifunction meeting rooms with trendy amenities, as well as one of the largest ballrooms in the area, able to accommodate up to 1500 guests at capacity. The meeting rooms and ballroom also offer special events packages, adjustable for both business and celebratory occasions.

Harper Palembang features 163 rooms.

Strategically located in the center of the city, Harper Palembang is just 30 minutes from the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport, and just 30 – 60 minutes from a myriad of transportation options, including train and ferry terminals. The hotel is also close to various nearby entertainment hotspots, from shopping malls and culinary destinations, to historical sites and attractions.

“Being the oldest city in the country with unlimited potential for both business and leisure, Palembang has become one of the most visited destinations in Sumatra. To accommodate the growing number of tourists each year, we think it is the perfect time to bring a Harper property to this up-and-coming capital city, with not only complete facilities and modern amenities, but with a distinct rustic charm and heartfelt service from qualified staff. We believe it will be the first of its kind in the city,” said Winston Hanes, Director of Operations from Archipelago International.
