The U.S. Travel Association this week announced its hiring of Angie Briggs as vice president of industry relations.

Briggs comes to U.S. Travel from Miles Partnership, a consulting agency specializing in destination and hospitality marketing, where she served as vice president of new business development for the past eight years. Briggs was a member of the Miles leadership team and helped drive the agency’s strategy and growth. She established a strong track record of collaboration and identifying business opportunities to support national, state, regional and local destination marketing organizations, as well as hotels, airports, attractions and businesses in the international marketplace.

“Thanks to nearly three decades of related experience, Angie brings strong relationships with partners across the many sectors of our industry,” said U.S. Travel President and CEO Roger Dow. “She will be instrumental in building engagement with our expanding membership and elevating the value we offer our members.”

“Angie will be a great addition to the U.S. Travel team, helping in their mission to service and grow U.S. Travel’s membership,” said Miles Partnership President & CEO and U.S. Travel board member David Burgess. “I am happy for her, and excited to see her advance her career at U.S. Travel.”

Prior to her role at Miles Partnership, Briggs served as vice president of business development at TIG Global in the Washington, D.C. region.
She will report to Nan Marchand Beauvois, senior vice president of membership and industry relations.

Briggs will begin her role at U.S. Travel the week of March 4, where she will join Dow at ITB in Berlin, Germany.
