First hotel in Turkey receives five-star rating

Raffles Istanbul was rated today as Five-Star Recommended hotel in the Forbes Travel Guide’s annual Star Rating list. This is the first time Forbes inspectors rated Turkish hotels for the venerable hospitality industry award, and Raffles Istanbul is the only property in the country to receive a five-star designation.

Opened in Fall 2014, Raffles Istanbul is located at a stunning vantage point above the city with breathtaking views of the Bosphorus, Prince Islands and the city’s historic peninsula. The chic, design-focused property, located at the Zorlu Center where high fashion, performance and art converge, is a luxury oasis in the heart of Istanbul.

“At Raffles Istanbul, we continuously strive to provide every guest with an unforgettable experience,” said Christian Hirt, General Manager. “It is an honor to be recognized as a Five-Star property, in the first year that Forbes Travel Guide traveled to Turkey, for our hospitality and effortless service. We are incredibly proud of our team for achieving this pinnacle of hospitality awards, the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Rating.”

Raffles Istanbul is the latest addition to the luxury travel ratings that have been the gold standard in the hospitality industry since 1958.
