Five people were injured as the airstair collapsed while passengers were boarding a flight from the Siberian city of Barnaul to Moscow.

CCTV camera footage shows people falling as they were just about to board a Ural Airlines plane in Barnaul, West Siberia early on Tuesday.

Five people fell to the tarmac, three were hospitalized, Russian officials say.

Ural Airlines spokesperson said the airstair is the property of the Barnaul airport, which is allegedly responsible for damages.

Local transport officials apologized for the accident and said they guarantee coverage of medical expenses for the injured.
