FORT WORTH, Texas – American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will be pre-screening applicants and talking to qualified pilots about open positions at the upcoming FltOps.com Regional Airline Pilot Job Fair on Saturday, Aug. 27. The career fair will be held at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

To qualify for an interview with American Eagle, a pilot must meet the following minimum requirements:
Commercial Pilot Certification with Multi-engine and Instrument ratings
Total fixed-wing time in excess of 500 hours
Multi-engine fixed-wing time in excess of 50 hours
250 hours Pilot in Control (PIC) time
Recent flying experience
Current FAA First Class Medical
Possess the ability to work in the U.S.
Possess the ability to travel in and out of the U.S. to all cities/countries served by American Eagle
A valid passport
Ability to relocate
Ability to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and overnight trips
“After successful completion of the recruitment process, all pilots must also complete ATP’s Regional Jet Standards Course, paid for by American Eagle, and sign a two-year Letter of Commitment to fly for American Eagle,” said Alford. “However, this will not be required for applicants who already meet our standard minimum of 800 hours total fixed wing and 100 hours fixed wing multi-engine time.”
