The total lunar eclipse known as a blood moon will occur on Sunday, January 20, 2019, and if you miss it, you’ll have to wait until 2021 for the next one.

In the US Eastern time zone, the eclipse will begin at around 10:30 pm and end after at 1:50 am on Monday, January 21. The full eclipse will happed at 12:12 am.

Moving along to Pacific time, the eclipse begins at 7:36 pm and ends at 10:50 pm. Full eclipse is at 8:41 pm.

Talk about a convenient time to view a total lunar eclipse, right? And it will take place high in the sky, increasing chances of good visibility. Let’s hope your area is cloud free!
