Vietnam to host Japan – Mekong Tourism and Cultural Festival

HANOI – Vietnam will host the Japan – Mekong Tourism and Cultural Festival from Dec.

HANOI – Vietnam will host the Japan – Mekong Tourism and Cultural Festival from Dec. 1 to 5 in the country’s southern city of Can Tho, said a report on the website of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Friday.

The festival will draw the participation of 300 delegates from Laos, Cambodia, Japan, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, said the report.

The festival includes trade fairs, exhibitions and performances featuring cultures of Japan and countries in the Mekong region.

During the festival, a workshop of ministerial level on the Mekong region’s cultures will also be held. At the workshop, measures to boost cultural and tourism cooperation between Japan and countries in the Mekong region will be discussed.
