In Singapore, the hotel industry is heading into 2019 in good shape thanks to the Trump-Kim summit and the romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians.” Average occupancy rates in Singapore were at 87 percent this year, the highest in a decade.

In Singapore, the hotel industry is heading into 2019 in good shape thanks to the Trump-Kim summit and the romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians.” Average occupancy rates in Singapore were at 87 percent this year, the highest in a decade.
Occupancy rates climbed across luxury, upscale, mid-tier and economy rooms, generating a revenue of US$141.00 per room night. 
“Crazy Rich Asians” delivered a promotional boost to the industry this year by showcasing the likes of the Marina Bay Sands and Raffles Singapore, the colonial-style hotel. A plethora of events, including an air show and the ASEAN summit, increased arrivals into the City State. International visitor numbers wear measured at 1.7 million in July.
In 2019 the Dusit Thani Laguna  Yotel Changi Jewel The Outpost Hotel, Sentosa Village Hotel, Sentosa The Barracks Hotel Capri by Fraser, China Square Holiday Inn Express Serangoon Citadines Rochor (Serviced apartments) will open in Singapore.
