“The Best Job In The World”, a campaign for Tourism Queensland – Brisbane Australia, took top honors at the Direct Marketing Association’s 2009 International Echo Awards.

The campaign generated responses from tens of thousands of participants, each of whom applied for a foreign correspondent position as a virtual ambassador to Brisbane. Additionally, a vote-for-the-correspondent-of-your-choice element brought the region’s riches to the attention of hundreds of thousands of potential visitors.

The effort, which also earned the A. Eicoff Broadcast Innovation Award, was designed by ComminsNitro Brisbane, of South Brisbane, Australia.

The DMA presented a total of 85 ECHO Awards to multichannel direct marketing campaigns from all over the globe. A full list is available here: http://www.the-dma.org/cgi/dispannouncements?article=1349
