FC Bayern: Not only Munich is proud according to Qatar Airways

FC Bayern soccer match against RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena in Munich made not only the citizens in the Bavarian capital city of Munich proud, but also Qatar Airways.

As part of its role as MDP and Official Airline Partner to the German Bundesliga Champions, the award-winning airline ran a ‘Dribble like a Pro’ Instagram competition where users could sketch the dribble path of a football to score a goal. The winner, from Germany, was invited to watch the match at the Allianz Arena from the Qatar Airways lounge and was given the opportunity to test their dribbling skills at half-time alongside FC Bayern legend, Ivica Olić. The winner also won a pair of return travel tickets from our German gateway cities to any Qatar Airways destination worldwide.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “As Official Airline Partner to Bundesliga champions FC Bayern München, we are delighted have had the opportunity to act as Matchday Presenter during the match in Munich.

“Our ongoing sponsorship of FC Bayern München and other global sporting events, such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is also further evidence of our commitment to supporting events that not only showcase excellence in sport but which champion sport as a means of bringing people together.

“We are now looking forward to welcoming the FC Bayern squad during their winter training camp in Doha in January, as well as continuing the count-down to the highly-anticipated 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.”
