China Southern Airlines launches nonstop service from Los Angeles to Shenyang

On December 18, 2018, China Southern Airlines is commencing new nonstop service from Los Angeles to Shenyang, China. Shenyang is located in the northeast corner of China and is the fourth largest city in the country.

Shenyang was China’s first capital from 1625 until 1644, and was the home to the former Imperial Palace, A UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. In 2008, during the Summer Olympic Games, Shenyang hosted soccer matches at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium.

China Southern Airlines customers will now have new options to explore Asia with a new service between Los Angeles and Shenyang, China.

An overview of the new schedule is as follows:

โ€ข Beginning Dec. 18, 2018
โ€ข Three Weekly Flights (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)
โ€ข Departure from LAX 00:40; Arrival at SHE 05:10 + 1 day
โ€ข Departure from SHE 01:20; Arrival at LAX 21:00 – 1 day
โ€ข Service with Aircraft A330-300

The Los Angeles-Shenyang service will directly connect the US west coast and the northeast corner of China. China Southern already provides ten weekly non-stop flights between Los Angeles and Guangzhou.

According to Hou Ming, Head of China Southern Airlines North America, “The new Los Angeles flights will serve to strengthen and open new opportunities for economic, cultural and trade exchanges between the two countries,” he says.

In the US, China Southern Airlines currently has ten weekly direct flights from Los Angeles to Guangzhou, ten weekly direct flights from New York to Guangzhou, four weekly direct flights from San Francisco to Guangzhou, and three weekly direct flights from San Francisco to Wuhan (extended to Guangzhou); In Canada, China Southern has daily direct flights from Vancouver to Guangzhou, five weekly direct flights from Toronto to Guangzhou; Additionally, three weekly flights depart from Mexico City via Vancouver to Guangzhou.

China Southern Airlines operates the largest fleet (770 aircrafts) and transported over 126 million passengers in 2017, ranking number one in Asia and number four in the world.
