The Seychelles President, Mr. James Michel, has been presented a “green paper” of the Seychelles’ Master Plan for Tourism for the next five years by the Seychelles Tourism Board CEO, Alain St. Ange, at State House yesterday afternoon.

The President thanked the Tourism Board and its partners for the consultative work they are doing in the tourism industry in the production of the draft master plan in order to produce a final plan by the end of the year that reflects the views and aspirations of the entire industry.

“The tourism industry is a dynamic industry, and the master plan will be a crucial element in helping to ensure the growth and sustainability of this sector,” said the President, who also holds the portfolio for tourism.

The final document is expected to be published at the end of December 2011 and the Tourism Board is inviting the tourism industry, affiliated members, government departments, and all other relevant agencies to provide their feedback and suggestions for consideration by mid-September 2011.
