Unite Here Local 5 union issued this statement after more than 3 weeks of an ongoing strike at Marriott Hotels on Oahu and Maui, Hawaii.

Unite Here Local 5 union issued this statement after more than 3 weeks of an ongoing strike at Marriott Hotels on Oahu and Maui, Hawaii.

The Statement from Saturday night reads:

“The strength that we’ve shown in the streets has moved us closer to our goals, but several major obstacles still remain.  The path to a settlement will become more clear after negotiations this week in Las Vegas.

Our strike will continue until further notice. Our picket lines remain strong 24/7 at all of the striking hotels.

Thank you for your support on the picket lines and in the community. Our members remain strong and determined to reach our goals.”
