Southwest Airlines and Travelport renewed agreement

Leading travel commerce platform, announced today that Southwest Airlines Co. has agreed to renew its long-standing partnership with Travelport.

The new multi-year contract gives Travelport-connected travel agencies continued access to search and book Southwest’s fares and content through the Travelport platform. Part of this new agreement includes increased availability of Southwest’s content to more of Travelport’s customers via Worldspan. Timing and other specifics regarding Southwest adding content to Worldspan are not available at this time.

“Southwest Airlines has long been one of our most valued customers, and we are very pleased they will remain with us, particularly for our corporate and government business clients,” said Damian Hickey, Travelport’s Global Head of Air Partners.

“Southwest is proud to extend our agreement with Travelport,” said Rob Brown, Southwest’s Senior Director of B2B Channels and Services. “Travelport continues to display a partnership approach that enables Southwest to reach potential customers in a way that is meaningful to us and that aligns our growth strategy with our distribution goals.”
