The widely-read weekly magazine states, โ€œWe had announced it … President James Michel was easily re-elected President of the Seychelles in the first round with more than 55% of the votes…โ€

“7 Magazine” also announced to the La Reunion public and to the readers of the Indian Ocean Islands, where the magazine is distributed, of the drive behind the launch of the publicity campaign for the Seychelles 2012 Carnival, which is set to take place from March 2-4.

โ€œAfter the remarkable success of its first edition of the “Carnaval International de Victoria,” the Seychelles has already started work on its 2012 edition scheduled to take place from March 2-4. On the publicity poster, we recognize Florence Arginthe (Miss Reunion) who was widely acclaimed, and the Waki band of La Reunion. “7 Magazine” has already published pictures of this carnival (check on the magazineโ€™s website); we shall be in Seychelles once again for their 2012 carnival,โ€ wrote “7 Magazine.”

Alain St.Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, said he was happy to see the continued support the carnival staged in the Seychelles was receiving. โ€œAs we have always said, this carnival is for the Community of Nations to showcase their own culture, people, and diversity alongside the best carnival of the world. We are the proud hosts and will work with every countryโ€™s tourism or cultural authorities to ensure they are all included in this unique annual event,โ€ Alain St.Ange said.
