On the move, online and in the know

BANGKOK, Thailand – We’re all aware that when traveling abroad it’s sometimes not possible or practical to rely on a mobile carrier’s roaming service for Internet access. Often while in transit to and from the hotel, we just have to wait.

From June 7, 2011, guests of InterContinental Bangkok and Holiday Inn Bangkok will wait no longer – all thanks to the hotels’ new Limousine Wi-Fi service. When using a limousine for airport transfer (arriving or departing), as well as for city tours, guests will remain well connected during the entire trip and be able to surf, work, and email.

Limousines are a smart choice for journeys. Now they’re even smarter with this latest service from, incidentally, the hotels that were the very first to offer free Wi-Fi service in Thailand. Indeed all hotel guests enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi in public areas including lobbies, at Club InterContinental, Holiday Inn’s Executive Club, Concierge, and in restaurants; iPad access likewise is available in both hotels’ lobbies. So, whether traveling for business or pleasure – and now even while traveling – guests can always feel free to connect to the world.

Limousine Wi-Fi service is provided by TOT 3G and offers a maximum speed of 7.2 Mbps. Coverage encompasses metropolitan Bangkok and some surrounding suburbs. The service is accessible via any Wi-Fi enabled device.

At InterContinental Bangkok and Holiday Inn Bangkok, not only do guests receive renowned Thai hospitality and a memorable “In The Know” experience, they’re now sure to be in touch at every turn.
